It's best to keep them 2 - 4 inches from your light if possible to keep them from stretching too much. What are you using for lights/soil?

it's an ott-lite grow. i saw it in home depot and decided to try it out. and it's doin fine. i did move the light closer when i saw them starting to get too tall. one is 4 days from sprout. and the other is 3. the soil is "super soil" "potting soil"

i would stay away from those and go with cfls, (the spiral flourescents) about 6500k spectrum(daylights) get a couple of these you will be much better off than that light that light will work but no matter how close it is i think they will always keep streching

You are going to need to bury those babies neck deep when ever you transplant. More light closer is certainly key here.

Nice cotyledons ( false leaves ). You have a little lanky growth on the stems maybe your light source is too far away. I usually keep fluoros about 4-6 inches from seedlings and cuttings. You may want to use steriled toothpicks to support your stems so it is staighter as well. Good Luck....

as far as strait stems. i had just turned them before i took that pic. they keep going towards the light. so i rotate them. and i did move light closer yesterday. hopefully they'll stop getting tall and get a little more bushy. ill definately consider different lights if they don't stop growing tall. and i will put a fan in there asap. thanks for all your suggestions :)
