House and Garden PH problems???

I have a 6 site DWC 3.5gal bucket system (total 25gals) using Aqua Flakes. I followed the directions for A&B mix using RO water and then set PH to 5.8 per instructions. Then put in the additives. 5 days later the PH is 7-7.4 in the buckets PPM 850. Water temp is 68degrees and the plants look fine. Is this normal for the H&G Aqua Flakes???

Thoughts???

I use H&G coco A & B and then a bunch of their other stuff.. After a res change I set mine at 5.8 and it never gets that high maybe 6.4 the highest. Then again it takes 5 days for you to get this reading. My last grow using DWC buckets with GH I would get huge PH swings within a couple days just like you are describing this usually happened when my root ball was taking up a lot of room in flower. How old are your plants??

Hydrodawg421: I don't think you have anything that unusual occurring in your reservoir. I start out a 5.8 and almost everyday it's up to 6.1, 6.2, maybe even 6.3, depending on how hard my ladies are feeding. The trick is to check your pH daily and readjust it if necessary. Going five days between checks is asking for it. If you're checking your pH every five days then how often do you change your nutes? Hydroponics is jealous mistress who wants our daily attention. If you want to be an absentee landlord you might want to try growing in dirt. HSA
