House and Garden Coco

I was wondering if anyone had any experience using House and Garden Coco base nutrients? I have been using aqua flakes for awhile now and recently switched to royal gold tupur which is a coco case medium. I have always supplemented cal mag when using aqua flakes but was curious if the coco base had a sufficient amount of cal mag in it and if a supplement was necessary? Any tips on the base nutes or even the tupur. I have heard good things about the medium. Stay lifted folks!

Ive used the Tupur with aqua flakes a&b, worked great. I personally wasn't ready for the runoff that i got, but the Tupur worked great. Id since went back to peat soilless though.

Did you have too much run off? I get a lot of run off using sunshine(peat base) already. I though the tupur would hold a little more water with the compost content in it. Did you use a cal mag additive when using aqua flakes and tupur?

Yes i did get a lot of run off in tupur. Watered little less then 1/2 gallon per 3 gallon pot and filled the saucer. With sunshine id water little less then 1/2 gallon a 3 gallon pot and get no run off.

I use H & G Cocos two part and it works well, but i still supplement with calmag. Not to sure on the aqua flakes but I would think you would still need to add some calmag. Maybe you could try to add more calmag and see what the plants tell you, or not add any and see what they tell you?

I don't know really. Im so used to running peat everything is like clock work. Truly i just did that one run in tupur, so i never gave coco a serious run at it.
Do you think it would be alright for me to run aqua flakes and coco with a cal mag supplement. I have jugs of aqua flakes I would not like to waste.

Fuck yes. I mean whats the npk change? I don't think that much. Like i said I've done tupur and Aqua Flakes with cal mg and an enzyme and it worked fantastic.
