Hottub as a reservoir?

Obviously the heater would need to be replaced with a chiller, but other than that it seems like it would be a good idea to fabricate a lid for a hottub to setup a few monster bushes. Thoughts?

If you had a spare one sitting around i guess, but not like people are going to buy a hot tub just as a res.

That would be the most expensive reservoir ​ever lol.....But I bet you could get some monster plants with that

Ya i have been theorizing a outdoor dwc tree, and with a strong steel lid i think this would be one of the best options.

Sure you can. I use my Olympic size swimming pool for my res, the kids say it burns a little when they swim in it but they are kids they don't care. Besides I only have to change it every 4 years!

Dig one in your back yard, and do the same @!*& the hot tub that maybe last you couple six months.. go big or get out.

Seems like there's always someone giving away old hottubs on craigslist. I think the reason they give them away is because the heaters break anyways.
