Hot hot heat

so im growing 2 different stains in my box atm, both are a sativa/indica hybrid. Current temps in my box can get to 100-110 with my HID lamp, my question is does the heat always make a difference in production? I put the 2 different strains in at the same time to flower, they are almost on week 5 and the white widows look nice and juicy, and have been full and i mean full of resin since week 3, The northern lights x shiva is also in its 5th week and allthough it was much bigger then the white widows when i put it into flowering, it looks smaller then another white widow that was put in just 2 weeks ago as far as size of buds and little to no resin production yet. What exactly are the downsides to the heat??? I cant lower the temps by very much as this is in my clset being hidden. i do have a DYI yeats and sugar CO2 release in there. also do strains react different to heat issues, or would these two be so different regardless of the heat

heat will slow down growth....i would say you should get your temps down to 90 at least...can you run 6" flex hose to bring cooler air into your closet? thats what i would do....i keep my closet open when growing in there, and the HPS 18" off the canopy and my temps are 85 floor/95 canopy

i am running cool air into the box, its not all that big thats why i have the problem, flowering area is only 2x2 and 4 feet high

also, the higher the heat, the more "airy" your buds will be. the cooler the temps (mid 70's) you start getting those nice compact buds..

alright lets say i had to choose between raising my lights or the heat... Ive got the room to raise my HPS but since its only a 150 i usually keep it like 6 inches above the canopy, ive got about a foot and a half more room to raise it and i know the temps would get lower, but less lumens. So if i had to choose to raise the lights and get less heat or keep them down and have higher heat, which would give me the best results?
