typical HPS light produces an orange light with a narrow spectral distribution. The Ceramic HPS produces a white light and has a much broader spectrum with an abundance of red spectral energy.

    Advantages
The Ceramic HPS produces a white light and has a much broader spectrum with an abundance of red spectral energy. The spectral energy of Ceramic HPS is unmatched in the Horticulture market and is only possible through the exclusive EYE HORTILUX chemistry.

    Benefits
Ceramic HPS enhances essential oil production and produces plants with minimal stretching. Ceramic HPS produces vibrant colorful plants which stay strong and healthy throughout the flowering stage. The Ceramic HPS is a strong Start-to-Finish grow light as well and produces healthy vegetative plants ready for transition to stronger light sources.

Anybody plan to get this lamp and use it? Apparently it's being released at the end of this month.

Do you know when the preorders will start and also do you know if that lamp is compatible with eballasts?

Comes as a kit for now but the ballast that came with the bulb was a gold series 2EB0272A-80C7-45EB-854E-8FAFCDDC8658.jpeg

Ships next week, hortilux says "the 600w se ceramic should only be run in their system or on their ballasts only. It may fire, but not run optimally on other ballasts per Hortilux". Right now if you preorder they'll toss you a 600w blue with the se600 and ceramic hps lamp. I preordered today, 399+ tax. I'll have it next week.

If anyone plans on having a thread going during flower with this light, I'd like to follow along. If these lights perform well, one on each side of my 630 de cmh sounds like a nice combo.

So are the perks with the chps the same as the cmh? Less heat, more efficiency, better spectrum?

This looks interesting.. depending on how much a 600 SE actually pulls, if it can edge-out a single 630 or 2x 315's, then that's energy saved. .. maybe someone can plug one into a kill-a-watt. What I'd really like to see though, is a PAR grid on 6" centers, in a 1 square meter tent, with the bulb in a basic horizontal open-air wing hung at 12", 18", 24" and 30".. and measured with as much as the door closed as possible.. 400 bucks aint too bad; i think i'll try to get my hands on one.. i'm for sure following this thread..
