TBT, did you ever think about how medical care in this country has become a cash cow?

Doctors here charge $120 for an office call. If they see 10 patients per hour they are making $1200 / hour. Should they really need to make that much money?

That adds up to $9600 for an 8 hour day, and that doesn't include the inflated prices if they do anything to you. That is only the cost of patients walking through the door.

Should that really be acceptable?

So people spend $500 - $800 a month on insurance, when for a family of four those office visits would cost $500/month, maybe $625?

Of course that's the problem with our credit driven economy. Too many idiots that don't realize that you are supposed to have savings in case shit happens...

Though I think a more relevant fact is that there are hospitals that charge $1,600/day for rooms. That's price gouging, $120 for an office visit that you might have once every few months isn't anything compared to the expense of spending a week or two in a hospital.
