Hook Up A Computer Fan

Hey, I am thinking of creating a little veg box. I have heard of other dudes using computer cooling fans to circulate the air.

How would I wire one? Can I just splice it to an old plug? Electrical guys come on. Please help me with specifics.

Computer fans run off 5-12v DC. You need an AC to DC converter such as a phone charger that will supply appropriate voltage and amps etc. Then yes, it's just a casse of cutting the wires and splicing them together.

ac/dc adapter.....phone, etc. check amperage of charger. make sure it meets fan's demand. most do. just splice and tape.

or buy an AC fan, and then no ac/dc inversion needed

you have to be careful of the amount of amps that the fan and plug have, you need to make sure you have more amps on the plug then on the fan, or you will be drawing more power and running the risk of a fire.
