Homemade Ona gel.

I've never used it, but I was reading about Ona gel and supposedly it is pretty good for controlling odors. It's a bit expensive though. After some looking I found a recipe for homemade gel air fresheners. You basically use gelatin with a mold inhibitor and essential oils. I'm going to give these homemade fresheners a go and I'll report back.

Even though essentail oil is natural and non-toxic, I still wouldn't use it inside a grow room. Below is the recipe.

  1. Heat 1 cup of distilled water to boiling.
  2. Stir in 4 packages of unflavored gelatin (e.g., Knox) until dissolved.
  3. Remove the mixture from heat and stir in the other 1 cup water.
  4. Add 10-20 drops of essential oil or other concentrated fragrance. If desired, add food coloring to tint your gel. You may also wish to add a mold inhibitor, such as 1-2 T salt OR a small amount of potassium sorbate OR a splash of vodka.
  5. Pour the gel into clean baby food jars or other small, decorative containers.
  6. The gel will set at room temperature, although you can place the air fresheners in the refrigerator for a quick set (and scented fridge).

Nope.

Ona is Ona. I use the hell out of it. spensive cause it werks.

Never gets in the bud. I use no exhaust filters in any Lab, only intake filters. So I rely on Ona to do what it does best. Eliminate the odor.

Homemade odor control w/ "oils" scares the hell outta me.

You want to taste the bud, not the odor control, right?

I'm stinky in the flower lab with perpetual. It gets heady in there. Ona near the exhaust and no tell tale aromas wafting through the 'hood.

Hell, my neighbors think they are temp controlled storage rooms. Not the mad Danish wet dream they truly are.

Don't cheap out on your grow.

Lawyers are EXPENSIVE.
Don't ask me how we know.
