Im having mixed emotions about pressing rosin. There is a learning curve. The rosin bags work but damn you lose out on s ton of product

I vaped my rosin w/ Wax Liquidizer original last night. The vaped taste was fine, no foul aftertaste and nothing while vaping that put me off. The juice I made has not seperated and it is crystal clean “ no floaties “ slight amber color. I got lifted and liked it.
I would suggest this product and also the vapeur filters. I bought mine online

Glad things worked out for you. Using the liquidizer pretty much guarantees that it won't separate. On a side note, I had the most interesting vape cartridge that I have ever seen. The oil was made using the dry ice qwet method but the product used to make the oil had been curing for a year. The color is reddish orange and is the most incredible body buzz that lasted for hours. Have used many cartridges but never felt a buzz like that from one. Best of luck in your future endeavors.

    I improved my press procedure.
I turned the PIDto 240*f and press for 3 minutes. I didn’t weigh the outcome but it was much better. The .22micron filters consume .5 ml of product to get 1.0 ml of useable juice. The filters seem to be a one time use kinda of thing...... after filtering about 1 ml they become plugged with the wax. I hope to experiment with the filters to see how they can be used in a more efficient manor. You can see the wax being caught by the filter it is pretty cool.

I have had no less then 10% return on OLD OLD cannabis. Smashing 7 Grams in a 2.5 X 4 bag works great. They turn into great cartridges with great terp flavor. Its also ALL NATURAL. Pre-Press if you go above 7 grams for best results. Humidity is a factor in your cannabis. 62% - 65% seems to yield greater returns.

Ive tried adding thc to my regular vape juice a few times. I used VG to cook down both flower and dry sift (like you would for butter or coconut oil for edibles) and used that as the base for my juice. Its a fairly tedious process, but it works.
I've been wanting to try cooking some of the clear distillates down into some VG and see how that works.

As far as ive seen, the only legal way to do extractions at home here is rosin.
I'll be building myself a nice hydraulic rosin press after this grow.

Are you turning your bags inside out? Its a trick ive seen a lot of pressing guys do, if you leave the seam on the outside of the bag a lot more gets trapped right there.

yeah, i cant wait to play around with it. I think for smaller runs it may be better to pre-press smaller blocks than your plates and do it bare. Ill be pressing for personal use so i dont mind a little plant material in there. Or are the bags actually used to filter stuff out?
I made a makeshift rosin press out of straightener plates and a cheap arbor press (it actually worked really damn well for under $100) and when if use that id squish several nugs together with a garlic press and press around an 8th at a time. It worked pretty damn well and had very little plant material break off.

My rosin press is the best thing I have ever purchased. Solvent - less, QUICK and easy. What is better then that? Most cannabis cups now will only let you enter Rosin made concentrates. ITS THE NEXT MOVEMENT!

What’s the trick to getting the rosin off of the fresh pressed parchment paper? I did realize that putting it in the fridge makes it easier. I use a razor blade to collect it.
I think next time I should take the rosin directly from the parchment paper to the shot glass for mixing.? Idk. I thought I could put in in a dab container but ..... it is sooooo sticky... I need to watch the video again

The hotter you press the stickier it is in my experience.
If you go low and slow it pretty much just peels right up off the paper after it cools.
Most videos Ive seen guys are doing it 200-205

I have cheap plates so I don’t truly know the temps of the plates. My PID tells me the temp at which I’ve asked the rods to go to. And it probably does that through resistance of ohms. There is no K style sensor. I dropped you a conversation btw

I thought if I got it hot it would run a bit and I could scoop it up, what plates do you have? I sent boomstick the message not you bro my bad. I had a pretty good press last night. I wish I knew what was in wax liquidizer, it’s expensive. I’d like to try the pg or vg approach..... seems much cheaper and maybe add some Terpenes. You can taste my terps but not like I was hoping.... still quite tasty and satisfying

My experience is the opposite. Lower temps equals more unstable. I would imagine because more terps. I squish most flower smalls at 104C/220F. Its still some very tastey shit yet stable. I’ll usually squish bubble or kief at around 200F though. Still stable usually.
I’m pretty sure the wax liquidizer is a mix of pg and peg. Their “proprietary blend”.

You want something different go with the product Liquify dilluting solution from the terpene store. Its made from MCT fractions.
Check out their website and read about it. I have some of it, from a different source, that i tried out before i stopped diluting all together. This is from their site:

Stop diluting all together? You’re now vaping straight rosin? Sorry if dumb question. I just bought this

I make distillate now. I put that distillate uncut into ccell carts, or with up to 5% terpenes added. Usually around 3.5%.

Are you distilling bud or trim or both? I guess I'm not understanding the concept here. You're distilling green and straight vaping that with a possible additive of terpenes?
