Homemade CO2: Use during dark hours when flowering?

Hey Growers - Just started 12/12. Been using homemade CO2 with GREAT results through vegging, just not sure what the rules are when the lights start going out. Can anyone set me straight?
By the way, for everyone doing the poor man's CO2 thing as I am, Glucose really does work much better than standard sugar. It's a little expensive, but there's a couple web sites that have it at a great price, just over a dollar a pound. Yeah, still expensive, I know, but even replacing a small amount of sugar with glucose seems to make the yeast survive longer. Either way, for anyone NOT using real CO2 because of the initial investment, lack of know-how, room, etc., as I was, this method really does produce results. I was blown away at how my plants reacted. Anyway, PEACE :peace: and good growin....

Uh oh,
I've been using poor man's C02 (sugar and yeast) but leaving that bad boy in there bubbling away 24/7 with it's lid off (i'm on 12/12 now btw)... am I supposed to remove the C02 at lights off for flowering? I had no idea...

Will definately be purchasing some glucose, thanks for the tip.

What's up fellas - So who's gonna help me and dingus out? Stop the homemade CO2 at lights out, or just let it go??

Sticky, man, thanks bro, but are you sure? And dude, does that recipe work for you? I got the basic mix from the GrowFAQ here, and it uses a heck of alot more sugar, and less yeast, relatively speaking. Been working insanely well for me, but I need to start buying sugar wholesale, or something....

1stymer, I use gallon jugs with about 5-6 cups of sugar (I substitute glucose for some of that; seems to really make a difference in how long the mix keeps producing), with a half gallon of good or just clean water, and a couple tablespoons of active yeast. Drill a small hole in the jug's cap. I bought some standard airline hose, but found that I like using straws better, ghetto or not! Just glue a straw into the hole in your cap, with only an inch or two inside the jug, and attach as many straws as you need to reach the area above your plants, depending on where you have room for the jug - I just stick them on the floor, wherever I have room. Tape the connection between each straw, so no precious CO2 leaks (this also helps the straws to keep their shape, so you can angle it/place it wherever's best), and either place the opening at the last straw above your plants, or, better yet: tape the end of the last straw closed so it's airtight, and poke small holes in the straws that lay above your plants. The CO2 will fall nicely on your babies. Use multiple jugs if you have the room! (room for the jugs, AND room for your plants to JUMP) Seems to work REALLY well for me - my plants TOOK OFF once I started doing it.
:peace: Peace guys, I'll be waiting/hoping for the gurus to fill my dumb ass in on the lights out period...TO CO2, or NOT TO....
