homemade bamboo bong

So I made a bamboo bong but when I put water in it I noticed there is a small hole on the bottom, right where the water sits. I fixed it with hot glue but I was wondering if it is dangerous, even if it is nowhere near the flame or hot metal, as seen in the photo. The hole visible near the glue is where the stam is inserted.

compared to the background pollution in everything we consume, I wouldn't even worry.
