Hi,
Outdoor man for many years - want to start indoor and looking for help.
Decided on a mini-tent to house a couple of mothers and two Homebox XS tents for a veg and flower.
1. What lighting should I use for the Veg tent?
I was going to use a 250w in each (MH/HPS respectively) but given the grow time, limited plant size, and canopy density should I use a variety of CFLs in the Veg Tent instead?
2. What lamp shade should I use for the tents?
I cannot decide between a cool tube setup or non-sealed reflector - maybe a cool tube is unnecessary for 250w? Mostly what I don't understand is if I have a cool tube with an in take and exhaust completely sealed will this mean I need a second pair of exhaust/intake for fresh air for the chamber itself?
3. Is my exhaust strong enough/too strong?
The tents will be 3.9 square feet and I'm thinking of using a 4" centrifugal fan. Will this be adequate fresh air turnover? I don't have a flow rating for the fans and one of the online calculators recommends 17 cubic feet a minute with a room of this size using a 250w lamp.
