Homebox 1st grow..........

Well if that is nute burn then why was it there b4 i started to feed? I tought it got there from forgetting to water and the light (cfl) was hot. Ive been feeding with ff grow big/big bloom @ 250 ppm @ .50 con. Is this too much? Ive only feed her twice so far. Mostly just phed 6.0 ro water. The leaves that are a lil burnt are the 1st set leave from seedling and she was stressed cuz of heat problems during the 1st/2nd weeks. Temp was over 90. So my point is should i just cut theese leaves off and keep feeding? (250 ppm) OR JUST BACK OFF THE NUTES FOR ANOTHER FEW WEEKS? THANX FOR ALL UR HELP RIU PPL

Give them straight water for a few days till the little crinkles in the leafs smooth out then return with 1/2 to 1/4 nutes.

My current over nute girl


Just remember it takes much longer for a plant to die from lack of fertilization in soil than it dose from over fertilization.

On the temperature note. Plants can handle the heat they just don't like it because it makes them work to cool themselves. They cool themselves through perspiration; just as you would sweat on a hot day so will they if it is too hot. This takes resources and energy from production/growth, but with adaquit water supply they wont Die from 90 degree temps. Hell it got up to 105 outside this season and my girl outside didn't die.

Its been a day or two and she lookn betr so im goig to give her sum or water only. Im useing ffof soil and i dont think it has very much air cumming in the soil. So im going to mix it up with 50% of light warrior so it can breath a lil easyer. Ive hered alot of good thing about light warrior, so why not give it a try.

I going to try a hydro setp up in 3gal pot useing light warrior and big and chunky perlite.
Has any1 tried it this way b4?
Onc i get things going i will make a new thread with this new sep-up. If any1 has advice on this type of grow please let me know.

P.s. I called the post office and i think my white rhino seeds from attidtude just got here today..........

Yeah she is doing OK now. i started to stop and read. :clap: i found out about useing H202 in my grow op. Im useing FFOF soil (from seed) and i did not put any perlite or peat moss in my soil. Big No No. I wont do that again. every time i watered my baby she wood be wet for 5 days or more. being my first grow i was over watering like crazy thinking she was under watered, thats #1 newby mistake.....:wall:

My ph was low too 6.3 i think i was locking out alot of mag cause her stem where red/purple. now there back to green on top. my ph is bak up to 6.7 and feed her with H202 in my water to and it perked her bak up quick. this stuff works great so far. im going to use this stuff for awhile and see how it works out.

look at her she looks like she woke up from the DEAD. lol :fire:

its been 5 weeks now but i cant tell. ill try to get sum good pix........

lookin good sty long time no see haha. idk about showing sex all strains show different times. my NL are 6 weeks tomorrow and i think i just spotted two pistols today...

It has been awhile but i have read alot in this site. I LOV RIU...
there is so much info on here u just have to read to find it......

I think this is my 6th week but i need to check my calender to make shure. ive never seen white pistols yet, but i hope soon.

Nice to see ur girls are on there way. Keep up the good work DK.

Ill keep everybody posted if she starts to show her white hairs. :leaf:

Thanx for the post.

Yeah i cant wait for this one to show sum hairs. I also started 2 White Rhino seed for Attitude seed bank. hope they crack by tomorrow.
i also deside to start my next grow with a Flood And Drain system. I love the fox farm soil but this is way too slow. plus watering this stuff can be a lil tricky. there is just not enough oxygen to the roots unlees u put alot of perlite in the soil. Oooops i missed that part... i been have to use h202 just to keep 02 in my soil. i glad i found this info in this site. I will always use H202 in my grow ops from now on.

My Purple Kush plants shot out hairs the same day I switched to 15hrs; that was beginning of week 4. Kinda took me by suprise that they started so quickly cause I hadn't taken my new mums out and they grew hairs too.

Your girls are looking very nice there; really going to town now. I think its about time to get those old damaged leafs off of there to make way for the new.

Yeah Im useing a 600w MH and I thing its make her very short, almost too short. All of her shoots are 6" long but there not that thick. Plus her is growing lopsided with 3 shoots on one side and very little on the other. Im thinking to switch my light to a 250w HPS when it get her from Plant Lighting Hydroponice. I think this might help to spread her wings.

Yeah Im going to remove thoose ugly thing off of her. With this 600w MH going its hard to keep temps under 80 unless my AC is running. So I invested in a 250w HPS with Digi ballast. Hope this fixes it.

I also need to topp this hoe but its my first time and im going to read a lil more so i can get it right. that way ill have more branches to work with when she ready to clone sum babies.

Please post anything u want on her cuz i could use all the help i can get.

I love my Homebox i grow in an apartment and i fits nicely in her, but i my oppinion its very xpensive to run a grow op in an apartment. Every thing has to be stealth and that the hard part. when u cum in my room its a huge (homebox xl) with a slight sound of a fan in the back ground. looks like a big woredrobe closet besides the fans runnig in it. Also getting rid of all the hot air cuming from the 600w MH light is a lil tricky, You have to send the hot air out of your grow op even out of the house is better but that can be tricky too in a apartment. but it can be done.

When u have a homebox for your flowering room you will need at least a 6' fann (i use vortex 450 cfm) to move all the air out fast enough. its best to use two fans. one for the light and one for bringing more c02 in the Homebox. I use two 6" vortex fans to move alot of air on this op. If you go with a homebox dont skimp ont ur inline fans and a cool tube for ur big lights is a most. I think this is most important in a Homebox grow. Ive spent over $1000 on my Homebox Xl and that only in cludes box, light, reflector, digi ballast,2 inline fans, and bulbs. Plus i have a clone box and a mom box too. Giver or take $2g's total. :bigjoint:

I wood go with one xspecially if you rent cuz u can take it all doen in 24hrs. that is a whole nother topic. Alot of ppl dont like grow tent cuz there not a real stealth grow op. But i disagree, mine looks like everything else in my room. couldnt look any better. The price of them is a lil high too but i found mine for 2 bills for a XL HOMEBOX

Good shit man. I love the homebox products they don't look that suspicious. I won't be growing for a few years or so but I'm trying to research as much as possible. Thanks for the info.

Well you are in the right place my friend. i didnt no shit about growing till i came here. If u like the homebox and still thinking of growing in soil or hydro, I wood go with hydro. IMO Not as messy as soil. Plus they grow fast and furious.:lol:

Check out my DIY on a FLOOD & DRAIN system it fits perfectly in the box.

I like the hood with the cool tube...

But I am in such a small area that I think I will be ok without the external reflector......

My tent is home made... I call it Gypsy's Bud Box... and the dimensions are... 36"W x 60"T x 20"D..

I think the 600 HPS will do a great job in such a small space....

Thanks again for pointing me to your grow... I got some catching up to do...

How are they doing? It has been a while. Check out my homebox S grow. I am also using the Vortex VTX 600 but I have mine set up a little bit different. Updates bro?
