Anyone else here serious about sound? Any Audioholics? There's nothing like getting high and blasting some good music, or watching a movie on your kick ass home theater system! I love my 7.1 HT system, it has good SQ and SPL!

custom setups are the only way to go. i cry everytime i'm forced to listen to my neighbor's box set.

I've got a home theatre. I've got like a 1000W Sony system, dvd player with an upconverter, DLP projector running 720p onto my 100" screen. lol, I've got my X-box 360 hooked up too. And in the other room, I use my media center PC as a DVR, with a 500 GB hard drive (about 200 hours of high quality recordings), and then stream all my recorded TV into the movie room. Its totally tits to smoke while watching media center's visualizations while smoking. Or even more tits watching my Sabres beat the Caps today...

i want mine to look like this------------->>>>>>

When I have my own house Ill be installing in wall system, large cherry crowning, molding, a dark red with ornate light fixtures everywhere Crown molding with reseted lighting. A 60+ OED screen that rolls up into the ceiling. A real fireplace with option gas lighter. Leather chairs and ottomans for everyone. A side bar with a nice humidor for my pot and high quality rolling papers. Tons of booze. Oh and everyone is invited!

Ill make the bar myself, with carvings of my own. Mostly Cannibus suggested. Look something like this

Justin is your system tuned? You got 20Hz-20kHz, 0.03% distortion (THD), 8 ohms? You must have a sub, what's your encloser tuned to? Do you know the Fs, Vas, and Qts? Sony is okay, but there are many other brands that are far more superior. On the surface, it's not that irrational. If Sony or any major electronics brand knows how to build CD players, audio/video receivers or TV monitors, they must know how to design and build excellent speakers, right?
Not always. Good speaker design is so specialized, and requires such extensive acoustical research, measurement, and listening tests that the best speakers continue to come from companies with a long history of acoustical research and speaker design.

Anyone ever hear these these speakers? $250,000.00 a pair! http://www.magico.net/?d=03_Products/04_Ultimate

Now that's what i'm talking about...
