Holy Smoke Seeds Stawberry Diesel?

:? Picked up a couple packs of Holy Smoke Seeds. Strawberry Diesel Fem. Has anyone have any experience with with strain? Any opinons or ??????
After I picked them up (of course) I see a few posts with hermie and germ problems??:cry:
 
Spoke to em on the phone apparently they had probs with a few pks of thunder and diesel which were done by a third party for em end of last year but reckon this is alll fresh stock ..
 
ha its called bad breeding lolz. but i bet strawberry(cough) x diesel would be very potent. is it indica or sativa.what are the #'s huh what %sativa or indica.
 
No they had a run in with authorities so didnt produce any bits themselves during last 4 months of last year,, but reckon this stock is as it should be ..50/50 mix of NYCD and Str Cough !!!
 
Not good news on the Strawberry Diesel. I started 6 (1/2) of what I just bought. Never really had a problem germinating seeds before. With 20 or so years of experience I think I know how to germinate a seed. NONE of the six cracked. They all had what looked like "slime" on them after a couple days. Not Good. Have not contacted the seed bank where I bought them yet. Thank you Zookeeper for the news. The only thing is I brought these with in the month so these evidently are the new batch??? I think it was about 175.00 bucks for the two packs. I will save the other pack and send back. I hope someone at the seedbank will listen?? I would really like to talk to the breeder because I heard alot of good things about him. But if he lets someone else do his deed thats not good either.
 
I can't seem to find Holy Smokes breeder online anywhere backing up his gear and I have only read good reviews about him & his breeding in mags and other marketing ads, etc. That sucks to have that happen to you bro' I know your pain and anger I've been there before with failed germs, hope you get it sorted.
 
Thanks Zookeeper. I'm not terrible upset. I put them in soil now and keep them lightly misted. You never know. I will give Holy Smoke a shout out though. Seeing how I was waiting to try there Kong and Pineapple Funk when that becomes available again. I am hoping it was a bad batch. I can't complain too much I've been pretty lucky so far. Out of all the years I have been growing I've only had the hermies twice. hee hee. Never really had a problem germinating though. I don't believe in bad mouthing someones gear. I feel if they go to the trouble with marketing, packaging ect., there not going to purposely sell bad seeds. I would think they would do their own work and not let a third party do it for them. That could bring you down in a hurry. It's when they avoid talking to u about your misfortune that can piss me off.
I realize there are a lot of people just starting out growing and make a lot of mistakes and that they don't know what they are doing, and of course they blame their problems on the breeder. But I guess that is what being in business is all about. You must take the good with the bad.
 
I had an oz. of Strawberry Diesel this past Xmas from a grower around the norcal mts. Some of the best smoke I ever had (top 5). I gave some to my sister and she told me it was to strong for her. I told her I'd take it back and give her something different. Then a day later she said she would keep it. Some people say it's a little trippy. For me it was a really solid and long lasting stoney high. I wish I had some now. Peace, jethead

That is getting to be more and more of a problem in the seed industry. Some breeders and other types of seed vendors cutting costs and listening to someone who claims they can and will produce high quality seeds for them, for a price of course, and it turns out the seeds are low grade and have problems and if the same place have the people making crosses for them then there's real trouble. There was a time when only Nirvana relied on other people to make their seeds for them, but other breeders have begun to do it and other types of seed vendors have too. The quality of seeds, especially the gimmick feminized seeds, has dropped over the last handful of years. That is why we keep reading more and more threads about low germ rates and hermies and other problems ... because breeders and other seed vendors are letting a bunch of Beavis and Butthead types do at least some of their work for them.
 
Ye he said they had a run in with the law and tried somebody else inbetween,was 6 months ago allready ..Said its all their stock now they are fresh seeds ,,a lots down to the growers enviroment/ femm'd re allways a bit sensitive..These guys were sound i met em at the Cup ! proper informed ,and well serious about there work !! Ive done a few of there bits and honest they been fkn' amazing ..
 
all i know is that you can't go wrong with this cross strawberry cough x nycd need a friend to grow it lol so i can get a taste.
 
A lot of GOOD breeder's have been blamed for ROOKIE mistake's....LOL I got 100% germ on my HS's SBDiesel, . I'm about to flip'em next week, and I'll keep everyone posted on the "hermie issue... To be honest they look awesome, and I can't wait!
 
2nd grow 4 strawXdiesel. (holy smokes seeds) germinated 4. 2 sprouted, so left the other two and germinated the last 2 which both sprouted and 5th seed on day 9 sprouted, one didnt. 5/6 germination rate. make sure you are germin correctly, and do some research on how long it can take a seed to sprout. which can be anywhere from 2days to 3weeks. all my sprouts are nearly a week old now and the shortest one is 7cm growing there 2nd set of true leafs
