Just wondering what it means when one bud has some brownish hairs and the others don't?

Could it just be bruised where it has been brushed against the wall?

Not a veteran, but pics would help along with more info. It could be the result of budworms or budrot. Or just an anomaly with that particular plant, and nothing to be concerned with. Kinda tough to guess at this point.
