I have one for each hlg. They didn’t kill my plants. I think they helped but cant prove it scientifically. I will get another once I get another light. Good luck.

Is anyone using the UVA bar from HLG? Any experiences, good or bad? On the fence.

Was wondering the same thing recently. I have some HLG 650 Diablos Im loving and thinking about adding the UV bar but honestly the lights produce damn good end result already so its hard to want to add anything. Yeilds are insane compared to previous on 1000W HPS and im at 65% of the power draw pluss less cooling.
What HLGs are you guys running, and how do you like them?

650rs with UVA and a blackbird w/ UVA. No good comparison as I have ran them since getting back into growing. I can attest that its super frosty, but that's due to many things mostly strains.

Great point. I couldn't agree more. When it comes to trichome production and terpenes, etc., it's SO much more a matter of strain selection and much, MUCH less to do with the light.

By the way, there's a new MIGRO vid up on YouTube where he addresses the difference between a couple different UVA fixtures. One is fluorescent and one is LED....Turns out the fluorescent is more efficient! PLUS, he mentions that he's not sure about the longevity of the UVA diodes -indicating they might not be very long-lived. That would be a bummer if true because I imagine it might not even be cost effective to replace burnt diodes...wheras a fluorescent tube would be easy to replace. I'd probably lean towards the fluorescent tubes at this point in time.

Did he say the lifespan of the led ones? Peace out!
