Some might screw in but, YOU NEED A SPACIFIC BALLAST TO RUN HID'S. So it wont work.

damn...thats alot of money so grow lights are are High Pressure Sodium light bulbs

Definitely. Grow lights are the most expensive investment you will make for your grow room. And I think everyone here would agree that the one thing you shouldn't skimp on is lights. I would reccommend saving at most $200 for a decent lighting setup. I know HTG has a 400W HPS for $120 or something close to that.

You are trying to replicate the sun, a better bulb will do so. I recomened the HPS with cooling fan built around it in the glass cylinder it is in. You do need a new ballast too.

I agree. I'm about to buy a 600W lamp and a cooling wing with tempered glass for $280.

It is great, no worries about heat. The plants can even get close to it and not burn.

i got some nice lighting HPS 400 watt, from HTG supply... you can find them on ebay or google them..discreet packaging and excellent service.. they will have everything u need.. highly recommend those guys

CFLs and flouro tubes are great for veg, but you'll be disappointed with the mediocre amount of bud you'll end up with after flower.
