For just starting out my grow, using regular lighting I have fried many a seedling so if I am goin to use HPS how high from seedling should i keep it to keep my babies safe?
use a metal halide bulb for 1 thing hps is for flowering i would actually use a t12 light if you dont have much exp. or even a t5 but they are expensive a t12 with floral tubes. you can get that at lowes reasonabe and they wont spin ur elec meter give it a try it will work good

i agree with hammer.. i use a t5 for my youngins, and it works awesome, and the plants love em.. i have a two foot, four bulb t5 that i got from htg supply..
i also like to germ under cfl's for about two or so weeks till i think that they are ready to be moved..

depends how many watts your light is, remember cannabis will sprout in full sunlight no need to baby them, 'speacially if you don't want them to stretch. 6500 K MH is better though.For just starting out my grow, using regular lighting I have fried many a seedling so if I am goin to use HPS how high from seedling should i keep it to keep my babies safe?

something also if u put ur hand by ur plants and the light is too hot for ur hand than obviously its too hot for ur children
