High end car audio help

Alright so like the title says im in need of A little car audio help. Wondering if the community has any knowledge of high end car audio parts. Im currently in the market for a capacitor, but confused on the rating i would need (farad number). I run a JL audio 13.5 w7 sub w/ A 1000.1 JL amp and my headlights dim hard and i lose ac sometimes when i get a hard bass hit. Also have an alpine 1000D monitor/dvd player. I know a capacitor will hold power for me to deliver on the big hits just not sure of the farad rating i would need (good brand as well) Any help would be great!...

I think a 1 farad capacitor would work but I would go with at least a 2 just to be sure.

A better car battery might help also.

Yeah should not need more that 2....I would also upgrade to a good battery if you haven't already

My advice would be to do the Big 3 and 0 gauge, then add a second power cell in the trunk if needed.

You can do two things to fix your problem, the big capacitor (1 farad +) or you can also upgrade your alternator to a high current version. Note that you MUST have quality wire already, if your wire size is too small it makes no difference how much power you can handle, the wires are not capable of handling it and bottleneck the whole situation.
