High CPD Strains and Drug Testing

I was reading Bubbagineer's post regarding high CBD / low THC strains and based on his symptoms I could have written that myself. We sound like we suffer the same issues. I was curious if the higher CBD strains like the 303 Snow Goddess and Z7 cut would flag on a Drug Test. I get randoms all the time through work and I have no desire at all to lose my job. I know the best answer is to not smoke and that's pretty much what I do now. I would love to try the CBD to help with my issues though. Any insight on this would be wonderfully appreciated. Thank you.

yes, they test for cannabinoids not thc.

What kind of randoms? How often? Any pattern to how long in between? What kinda work?

Just random piss tests. Could be once a month or once every six months. There is zero warning.

I live here in Colorado but work in Alaska on the oil fields. I work two weeks on and two off. I just fly/commute back and forth.

I only smoke once in a while.

Word, sounds like fun. Id say that vacations would be the best time.. but if your feeling a lil like a puff, id say do it as soon as you get back, maybe test yourself a week after. If your don't smoke every day it's easier to clean out the system than if you do it every time you sit down. Bear in mind that everyones body is different, might take longer... anyway have fun n b safe!

Hi Kramer. I believe the post you are referring to is the one where I did a saliva THC test a couple hours after taking 50mg of RiverRock's Priva pills (which are just the BHO from the Sour Tsunami 2 in a dry cap form). The saliva test (I did it twice to be sure) showed no impairment from THC. So, if your employer tests for impairment, you would be good, but if they do UAs, you're test will be hot, even if you just do CBD because my research shows that UAs test for a whole host of cannabinoids (nazi assholes).

I too run the risk of losing a very good job if popped with a UA. But, I decided that I'm tired of the man runnin my life, especially since I finally found something that works for the pain without having to be baked. If our elected politicians would do the right thing, then CO and Washington will get a waiver on the Controlled Substances Act of 1970, in which case Companies would have to test for impairment on the job (i.e. not whether you got stoned on vacation 3 weeks ago) but what you do on your own time would be your business.... as long as your work performance stayed on par.

It would be great if it was possible to know how much a person can smoke/ingest before testing positive. The HIPA laws allow me to be discrete about my cancer with my employer, basically not let them in on that part of my life, but the random piss tests do not allow me the same privacy. It really is not their business to know what medication I have chosen. BTW, I did stop by the dispensary Bubba mentioned and picked up some Panacea and CDB capsules. The Panacea is not too good, but it does help with pain a little. The 10mg caps are also kind of weak. I tried a brownie that locked me down for over 3 hours and the side effects, anxiousness were not worth the distraction from pain. So, I am still searching for what works best and am hoping that if/when I get called in for a piss test that I can flush enough out beforehand to pass.

Try those Priva pills at RiverRock. I typically take 4 twice a day on work days (weekends I just smoke )- little to no head effect, good pain relief and discrete, at least for me. At $1/pill, I'm dishin out some cash per month, but I like the effect, and look forward to being able to make my own extract caps if I can hunt down a high CBD mother. I'm talkin back pain though, and CBD is anti-inflammatory, so that may be where part of my relief comes from.

I agree those CBD caps from Kind Love are a waste, and I never really warmed to the Panacea either, but it worked. The Sour Tsunami at RR tastes far better than the Panacea IMHO.

On the drug tests, I carry a fresh saliva test with me at all times in my briefcase. I figure if I'm ever called in on a true random, then I will pop the saliva test in front of the tester and have them give witness that the saliva test was negative. At the least it will make them nervous about firing me.... they know I'm just crazy enough to spend my entire net worth making their life hell with a pack of flesh eating lawyers. But if its a "typical" random, I would get a call from corporate telling me to report to some collection center to give a UA and I usually have a day to prepare. In that case I keep an i-pee kit at home... Nice because the synthetic urine is dehydrated, you just add water and bring up to correct temp per instructions. I have personally never used one of these on a real UA, but they are supposed to be one of the better choices. I hope some of that helps, it sucks to live in fear of a random DT... Empower yourself as best you can.

Regarding the P test prep, Every one I got called in for was a surprise during the work day, just a directive to go to a med center and pee in the cup. One time I had to leave to BR door open and was in line with several uniformed LEOs, none of whom were directed to leave the door open. Blue dye was poured in the toilet and I was told to not flush or use the sink. The rest were just the vial handed to me, it had a temp strip on the side and I was able to close the BR door. If I am concerned about passing I'll just be a no show until I am able to get a kit on hand. My chemical makeup is none of their fucking business so this is very hard to even think about.

Bubba- I agree good sir. The political tide is turning and I would love to sit on my back porch, stare at my garden, and smoke my herb without being concerned about being tested a couple of weeks later at work. Cheers.

I went to the website, but couldn't find any discussion on the priva pills..... The last time I tried to pick some up at the South location, they were "out of the CBD types but we have these others...." I don't know what the "others" were made from. Also, the South store went for an extended period of time without having the Sour Tsunami flower on the shelf. So, I went to the North location, which is their home base, and they had the CBD Priva pills, this was late last week. The N store also had the Tsunami on the shelf and their own new CBD strain which is about the same on CBD as the Tsunami, but has a slightly higher THC content.... Looked like nice bud, but I kept my self under control and didn't leave the building with a grocery sack full of product and an empty wallet as would be typical... Just got the pills.

On the drug test, definitely don't dwell on it. I was just giving some suggestions but I wouldn't sweat it if I were you.

Last comment on the drug test thing then I'll get off the soapbox. I really feel that if the Feds allow CO to regulate and open recreational facilities, then companies are just going to have to adjust their policies even if the Feds don't give an official waiver on The CSA of 1970. Seriously, it's just common sense. This makes me feel good. Think ima go taste that chem dog again seein as I ain't at work today

Gotta be careful about preaching to the choir here Bubba, pretty much anyone logged in here is going to agree with that sentiment. Problem is that the folks who are feeding their families with the revenue they garner from busting people. Changing the law changes the situation. Changing the law. We, the people of Colorado, have changed the law. Let's see the will of the people be done, in spite of the kicking-screaming delaying tactics being done by the desk jocks in Denver. The local media is doing a terrible job with their coverage that is biased toward the view that they think is best suited toward their financial best interest. We voted to change the way pot is managed, it is time to make it happen. OK, time to get off the soap box.

I, I don't know what your issues are , but I have a wide range , from seizure disorder, anxiety, pain, cancer, depression .... ANYWAY , LOL, ..
