New to site, can anyone tell me anything about fiberoptic lighting? I want to set up a sun catching panel and run fiber optics to use as a light source. This would be 100% free lighting!

I have a fiber optic fountain lamp that I can donate to the cause ... I will miss it though as it is fun to watch when smoking late night .

My sister was at a friends down in TX and she called me saying people there were using fiber optics to grow. I told her she was full of shit.. Maybe someone is on to some new technology.

It's not new, I was looking into this about a year ago, sadly I could only find it in use outside of the US. Big surprise right?
