Hi, Im Nedyah

Well nedyah isn't my real name but its pretty close. Well I am an 18 year old student of the histories. I am quite savvy at hands on production of chemicals or plants. I have been reading for years about growing weed and now I and think its getting down to it.

In the next few months I plan on hanging out here and learning and saving up a few hundred dollars (as I am a student) then eventually carrying out my plans. I designed a wooden grow box on the larger side, with 300 - 500 W of CFLs. As for strains I was hoping to grow 4 each grow, 2 c99 and 2 White Rhino and I would start with feminized seeds until I have a perpetual operation. (years down the line)

What do you think?

why you using cfl?

I am currently on a budget. I am 18 and have years to upgrade my setup. CFLs will create a lot less heat too with my particular set up. I know the results are not as good but I have been doing research and I believe they will be satisfactory for my needs.

ive used large cfls and did ok........should pull some real good bud....the heat thing is a bit of a red herring....hps isnt that bad for heat..ive got a 600 and 400 jammed in a 1.2m x 1m x 1.4 hi cab.......no probs

Better question dell.... If I were to use HID it would need to be a combo light. What wattage of light would your recommend to replace 300 - 500 watts of cfl. It would have to be cooled enough too. My grow box is 3.33 (Wide) x 2 (deep) x 3.5 (tall) in feet.

well id have to say id go for a 250 or 400, the 3.5 ft height makes me want to say 250 dual spec..or a 400 dual with cool tube..............

What do you think about the 3.5 foot hight, is it to little. It really helps to keep the box hidden.

ive run a 400 in that height.........
