Am no expert but for a decent yield i would veg for bout 6-8 weeks. Sometimes even 11 weeks on some plants.

there are alot of different methods. u could start flowering them in the next month or so or u could wait till they get big and keep them as mothers and then make clones off those and flower those either quickly or waiting till they get big to. read around on this forum and find out which method u like to use and then go for it. like the person above me said the longer u wait the better the yield.

Flowering from seedlings is not a proper growing method.

The young plants are sexually immature and flowering will be take longer and not be as vigorous until the plants hormones come to the right levels weeks into flower.

You should never flower a young plant that is not sexually mature, you will hear all kinds of excuses on this site why people do it...

But bottom line its not going to give you optimal results.

That is exactly right. Until you see preflowers the plant is not ready to begin the bloom stage. So if you give it 12/12 light it still remains in veg until it is ready to flower anyway. Except now it has 6+ less hours of light per day than before and the roots don't grow as vigorously.
