Should I lights out for couple days or cut, trim, and hang today? Advice?

I have spot checked all the plants - anywhere from 5% to 10% amber trichs. It's been a blast!

Looks absolutely amazing. I've never noticed a difference when leaving them in the dark for a few days vs not. IF they were mine I'd cut them down trip then dry today.

Hey, Mr2shim. Good to hear from you man. Been with me since the begining. Appreciate the post brother!

Dark periods do nothing. It means zero to the plants chemistry. We try to duplicate nature. Hopefully it is not pitch black on Earth for 48 hours ever.

Hey Hotrod, thanks for the help aong the way. Remember when I had white fungus growing in the soil? Taught me how to arerate the containers and keep that soil web going. I think that put bmeat over the edge.

They look stunning man. Well done!

I would say give them 48 hours dark if you're confident you can keep the humidity down. If you can't, then just chop em now. Either way you're gonna be happy.

I haven't noticed a difference either, ive done up to 72 hrs darkness and no dark cycle with identical plants with no difference..........with that being said, you've got 4 chop 2 now and put one in the dark and keep one under the light......then compare for yourself.......let us know if you notice a difference........the only thing I do before chop is let my soil completely dry......I think it shortens dry time by a couple days:)....sometimes it takes a week for the soil to dry!......as they say to each his own.......and we want some dry weights for those mama's:)GL.peace

Nice job. They look beautiful.
I never do anything special myself. Just cut and hang.

Thanks for the posts. Amazing what can happen in a 2' X 3' closet with a little luck!

Stellar job, those buds are thick and long and beautiful. I would do the chop chop. Great work... what was the wattage and type of lighting? Is that blue tinge coming from the light?

Hey, what do you guys think I should keep the humidity at during the dry? I have a de-humidifier to put in the room. It's at 55% this morning with lights now off.

Man, I would love to do that but I have one room to flower and dry in. I have to harvest all the way.

If you mean during drying, I like to get a long slow dry, and I accomplish this by using a humidifier and circulating fan to maintain roughly 50-55% humidity. At that humidity it will take somewhere in the range of 10-12 days to get crisp enough for jars. When bud dries this long it is already somewhat cured before jarring. Really helps in the long run with flavor and smell development, and shortens cure times significantly.

(all just my 2 cents)

P.S. If you meant while flowering, I like to keep it lower, around 40%. 50-60% for vegging.

Thanks for the feedback and info. I'm running a 400w MH veg and HPS for flower. I think my nikon picked up on some blue tint and over corrected in some of the pics. They have a slight blue hue at the bud sites.
