hey guys, this is just my temporary set up for the my lil babies till i get my grow box built. i plan on having it done by wednesday.

I'm using scotts soil with a lil added permiculite for airation/easy drainage and the soil pH is a lil below 7.0.

I've got 2 clf bulbs with about 2000 lumen output each. I know I should have more but this is just until i get my box built and a trip to the hydrostore for some proper lighting. Do you guys think this will be sufficient light for the next few days?

and lastly the temperature is at 70 F degrees and the humidity is little below 60%. im pretty sure the ideal temp is between 70F and 75F degrees but im not so sure about the humidity. should it be about 60% -70%?

any comments or suggestions are very welcome. :bigjoint:

For the first week yes...but it looks like they haven't broke ground yet. Are you planning to grow with cfl's?

Your hummidity should be around 45%. Having higher hummidity increses the chances of spider mites and other pesky critters.

1 - did you germanate your seeds first? if not you proibly should have done that first
2 - if the light gives off next to no heat have the light closer to pervent your plants from streching to find light and this might help to make your plant more bushy

Yea, im planning on using CFL's. I'll pick up a basic set up and add on as the plants grow. I'll definitely be looking into hps for flowering.

I'm also not too worried about the outcome of these particular seeds being that i didnt have to pay for them. Once i get the seeds i ordered, i'll make sure they start in the grow box.

my humidity has dropped from 70% to about 55%. Hopefully it drops a bit more and levels out.

Thanks guys

EDIT: yeah, they germinated for like three good days using the paper towel method and they had nice healthy sprouts coming out. :D

you could use hps bulbs but for 1 250w hps bulb you could use 9 42w CFL bulbs that put out 150w each and that would give you around 1,300w and you could spred the lights around to

yeah, im planning on droppin a big chunk of change on the lighting. gotta do it right or dont do it at all. so i'll definitely look into that set up.

see UV is realy improtant but if you want to go for a set up that will have a lower power bill for lighting CFL is poribly the best way to go but also you can have the CFL closer to the plants then a hps bulb
