:weed:Hey everyone. This is my first post/grow so I was wondering if anyone can offer some advice and help on growing Mandala's Hashberry. I ordered the seeds, and I just really need help on soil, nutrients and things specifically good for this plant. I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question but hey, everyone's gotta start somewhere. Thanks a lot, and I intend to post pictures the entire way through.

Dude, you need to go here....

FAQ

There is some excellent info from the breeder. I recommend you read it.

I'm growing 2 Mandala strains at the moment. Satori and Hashberry....check out my journals if you would like to see how I'm doing it.....links in sig!

Good luck mate!

Hey, thanks for the responses, and i'll definitely take a look at the links you showed me. And i'm from the US (I don't really want to give out too much detail about where I live, I mean, I am on a growing site, if that isn't a problem). Is this a particularly difficult strain to grow, or am I in for some smooth sailing?

Wasn't too bothered about anything further than country, see if you lived in the uk, then most peoples recommendation of fox farm soil and whatever wouldn't be applicable because those products are not available in other countries.

Hey, welcome to the site btw.....

As long as you do the basics right, good light, nice soil, ventialation, circulation, water/feed (but not too much) etc, you can't go far wrong.

My Satori's are just starting to bud up nicely and my Hashberry's are only a couple of weeks old from seed. I'm using BioBizz organic nutes, but only in small doses and nothing for the first 3 weeks. Let the soil do the feeding.

What's your setup? Indoor I take it, seen as we're at the end of summer??

Let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

hey dave. im growing hashberry as we speak. i germed two seeds, one was a bit of a runt and suffered from defficiencies since birth so i killed it. the other is a strong female.

like snowwhite, i laid off nutes until i began flowering (at 2 weeks veg becuase of height). havent really had any problems. very resistant to heat, when i have my hps running (i alternate between cfl & hps because of heat), temps can get up to 90f and she shows no signs of heat probs, unlike my other plants. she is now at 3 1/2 weeks flowering and doing good. maybe a bit slow because of the cfl usage, but very strong.

the main stem, and even leaf stems, are extremely fat and large, which means good water/nute circulation, and the pistils are long, purty things which look very different imo from dutch strains ive grown. crystals are starting to pack on now, which is always entertaining, but the smell is still very mild. (good for stealth).

all in all, its been a pleasure to grow, and i cant wait to grow a whole batch next grow once i get my new setup ready.. we'll see how she turns out.

good luck with it, and best of luck with yours also snow

Thanks again for all the good responses. And just to answer your question, it is an indoor setup in a walk in closet. As far as light goes I was going to use a 400w hps (6 plant grow, i'm not sure if this is enough or not) and a couple rotating fans. I actually was going to get the bio bizz but the web site doesn't ship to America. Any sites around that I can get some good nutes at? Also, can I just expect to find a good kind of soil at home depot or a botomy store? Thanks
