Hermie question with pictures!

I just have a few questions about hermies. My last two harvests i've had one plant hermie on me pollinating my room which sucks! . . . . . I've been looking for hermies and don't really know what to look for. All the pictures online are mostly pics of plants that have already popped their sacs of pollen. I know what it looks like when a plant drops pollen but what does it look like before the pollen drops. Ultimately I guess the main question is, when a plant hermies, is pollen dropped from the calyx? if so, what if I removed every one, what would be the cons of removing them? What are their purpose? I know that you can tell females because of the pistils but some are late on popping out. Also is a hermie suppose to be a calyx that does not have pistils?

The hermie man parts look like bananas, here at riu we call em nanners. if it doesn't look like a yellow banana you are okay.

I've seen them before. Where do they come from though is my main question. When nanners expose themselves do they pop out of the calyx?
