Hermie problem 9 days after 12 hour switch

OK so I got an obvious hermie in my Blueberry Gum freebie seed that I got from attitude. The balls are obvious and so are the white hairs. I'm tempted to cut it down right now, but I'm curious what people think. Is it worth trying to beat off the hermie trait by repeatedly clipping the balls and maybe using reverse it?

My thoughts are the hermie showed so darn fast, that I'm going to chop and be rid of it. A little hermie late in flowering is not as much of a problem.

It is sure a beautiful looking plant. Darn.

cut the balls and keep the plant going, it will still be good smoke and if you get the balls before they come close to opening you wont have to worry about them pollinating the other females that are around.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

youll never get em all NEVER, NOt ever.

you might come close, but all it takes is 1 single ball to polinate every plant in a big ass room.

dont risk it, clip it and give your ladies more room.

or if u feel they must b usefull. practice cloning to get ur technique down, or try your hand at bonsai.

Only plant, Just keep trimming balls if you want smoke. If you got a couple other females i suggest you dont keep it near them.

Unfortunately, it has other girls in the room. It can't be isolated. I think I am going to chop, but I might wait a day or two. Why do the best looking plants in the early stages end up being male or hermie!

I guess I'll have to wait to try a blueberry variation. I was pretty excited about trying a blueberry. The Pineapple Express looks good and is not showing any male traits. Saw the first white hairs on that one in seven days after changing the lights.

BTW, people wondering why I put this in the strain thread and not the plant problem thread, I decided I wanted people to know it was Blueberry Gum. At the same time, I didn't want to totally trash this strain by putting "blueberry gum" in the title.

Here is an extreme closeup of a couple of the male balls. If I decide to try chopping these off, do I wait until they are little bigger and easier to chop? If I chop, do they come back in the same place? Is it possible this might go away after chopping the first few times?

The closeup is pretty cool.

Where are the white hairs?
The white hairs are on other parts of the plant. They are definitely there. A few months ago I had a Northern Light go hermie on me. Just like this one, I thought it was for sure a male. Suddenly white hairs came out of the balls I thought were male. Then about three weeks later it had big balls and dropped some pollen before I knew what was happening. Thankfully I didn't have a fan running at the time. I cut that one down.

those look like false pods dude u might get lucky. i wouldnt cut it down just yet. i thinkin its a girl tho
I'm going to give it another week for sure, just keeping a close eye on it. Fortunately it is relatively compact and I will be able to take out of the grow room and really eyeball it good with some magnifying glasses. When I chopped that hermie NL a few months ago, a friend of mine was pissed he thought I should keep it and just clip the balls. He said sometimes they go away after doing this a few times.

I'm going to update this thread with pictures over the next week or so, just to let everyone know how it turns out.

Here is another picture. You can plainly see the balls on one side of the stem, and the bud on the other side with white hairs. This is extreme closeup, so cutting these off might be difficult right now.

I just cut all the balls off with a razor blade and magnifying glasses. There were a few to say the least. I'm debating whether to invest $25 in Dutch Master Reverse. The only thing that might make me keep this is it should be easy to carry out of the grow room and work on. It isn't going to be a monster like some sativa dominant stuff.

Three days later and no new balls. I just sprayed with Dutch Master Reverse. This Blueberry Gum is a real fast flowering plant. It is also a beautiful looking plant. Hopefully I don't have to cut it.

A week later and no balls. I'm worried about some of the flowers. I had a Northern Light go hermie on me. I though the balls were male, but they started putting out some white hairs. A couple of weeks later, these little flower balls turned over and dropped some pollen. In the second picture, you can see one of these pods that I find questionable. In the first picture you can see how fast and beautifully this Blueberry Gum is flowering. It is only three weeks since I switched the lights and two weeks from when I first saw white hairs. Sprayed again with Dutch Master Reverse.
