Hermie Harvest?

If buds are at 6 weeks flower and have many trichomes, but say 50% of the smaller branches have seeds [after hermie-ing], should I harvest now or wait?

I have picked off as many of the pollen sacs as possible but probably not all.

Advice would sure be appreciated  please. :)

Pulling off pollen sacks can stunt your plant. You should've really pulled them when they shot out banana's. But as long as they're doing well i guess. Pull them when the trich's are amber or 50-50% cloudy/amber just as usual. But, Yeah if you don't have a magnifying glass then wait untill the hairs change mature orange/light brown. That's still not a good indication compared to trich's but yeah. Hope this helps peace.

Excellent, thanks a lot mate.

I have a magnifying glass so I'll just do everything as normal... really appreciate the help :-P peace to you too man :leaf:

a little stress spaced in moderation wont really stunt them. I use to cut the seed pods off in the hopes it would channel the energy into making new blooms and it worked well. If you have a totally seeded out branch id get rid of it. If you have many id do it incrementally. Hermetic genes are usually awakened by excess heat. Is it (cant call it a she lol) too close to the bulb? It can be frustrating I know lol. Inspires one to work with clones

Yes it's very frustrating. As for the reasons, probably not heat stress but take your pick from regular over-watering and over-nuting or light-leakage throughout the dark period... yeh I know I know it sounds terrible. Let's just hope I learnt a lot form it all.

Trouble is I have another plant in the room which is at an earlier stage of flower. I guess this means that will now get seeds too. So perpetual hermies for me it is xD

If you are overwatering try spiking your water with a little peroxide. This will introduce oxygen to the roots and kill the bacteria that rot them. It will make for healthier roots making up for that lost yield.

Do some research on ethylene. It MIGHT help with your hermy issues from what i have read. It will rripen your buds quicker though and promote the plant to start metabolizing its leaves to make more blooms. Read somewhere in the the absence o ethylene plants herm out more but Its just what i've found on the internet. Maybe you could do some of your own experiments and post them here for all too see. Remember the plants going to focus its energy on making seeds and not so much new flowers. Removing these seeds will force it to spend more energy on floral development. A little stress wont hurt your resin production lol. too much will put it in shock though. If you go the route of removal use common sense.

-best wishes

not overwatering anymore, but i did throughout the veg, and also gave too much nutes. I try to pick of seeds but it's hard to access some of the branches, though the main stems don't seem to have any on them from what I can tell, or very few. It's really mainly the side branches. I have about 2 weeks to go until what was supposed to be my harvest date, they will be ready by then [or would have been but for the hermie situation]. I guess I will just wait it out or if I get too frustrated... chop em all :)

Yeh it was music until I read a few bad stories about it. Personally I think it should work or at least help, however for now I'll just sit it out and maybe order some for another time... appreciate the advice/direction.. Good stuff man, peace to you and all your leaves :)
