Hermi?? Pics - very unsure

So this is a real bummer. I start out with some bag seed, grow 26 under a 400w MH. Flower them all until I am 100% only female. I even went as far as to pull a couple I wasn't sure of, just to make sure.

So now I'm down to 13. Put them in the flowering room under the 600 HPS. Temps were 72-75 and have slowly dropped to 65-70 due to the climate change here. Regular feedings, water water, feed. Never went overboard on the nutes. I use BC Bloom, BC Booster and a seaweed mix as per instructions. Water is usually from the dehumidifier. Humidity sits around 50-65%

So anyways, 6 weeks into flower I chop a little nug off to give as a gift (very proud of the looks of things thinking this will blow him away) So my friend tells me the next day thanks but ah.. it was full of seed.

What the!!?? I run back and check it out and sure as shit, this one was just laced in them. I never even noticed because it appeared the buds were just getting bigger and the roundish things i saw had hairs, i figured it was a bud formation. I never thought to squeeze it or play with it as i was told by another friend never to play with the stuff, you can do more harm then good and so on. So long story short i had 13 beauty looking females and i'm pretty sure all but maybe one have some form of seed now?

Why would this happen? My only ideas are:

1) a had a timer issue and the 1st 2 weeks of flowering did not have consistent 12/12. It was all over the place.

2) summer to fall temps have made a change in room temps by 10 degrees (however this wasnt an overnight change)

3) my veg area is open concept and right next to the flowering room I built. (4 x 4 x 6 ft. high made with 2x4's and polywrap black/white stuff. I literally sat inside the room with the veg room on, zipped up and looked for light leaks. There were "some" Its not 100% black darkness but it is dark you know? Just tiny specs where the staples are in the wood holding the polywrap/walls.

I don't know what else to say. If anyone could expalin that'd be awesome. I spent a lot of time and energy and a good bit of coin into this and now I have "seed weed" great...:wall:

if your ladies have gone to seed there is only 1 possible reason.

MALE POLLEN WAS SPREAD AROUND YOUR ROOM.

on any given day male pollen can carry in the air up to 3miles.

if you are certain you had no males , did you have any hermies?

did you go anywhere where males were present then forget to get changed before visiting your grow?

are your intakes screened to stop anything entering?

hey J thanks for the input.

Once I pulled the males I put them in a plastic bag and in the corner. Funny thing was the moisture in the bag allowed them to grow a little more. I wanted them to dry and die so I could burn them outside as I think throwing them in the field or garbage is the worst idea. I don't know if some weird reason just lifting the bag and carrying it out of the room could be the culprit who knows?

As for intake, its passive and only gets air from the room the flowering "box/room" is in. The basement has an old dryer hole that allows fresh in.

What did you mean by "did i have any hermies"? I thought that's what all happened to them? They changed because of whatever reason; it sucks the list can seem endless, too much/to little light, light leaks, over/under water/feed - temps. etc etc

How can one learn from a mistake without being able to put their finger on the problem?

I've heard I should literally wash down the flowering room?

yes you should wash it down 10% bleach and water.

your mistake was leaving the males in the same room. you should have bagged them removed them and burnt them straight away.

a hermie is when a female plant develops pollen sacks or male bananas .

I also have a question you might be able to help me with . I've tried this strain 3 times(Sweet tooth by Barneys farm) now and all three time I've had these little brown looking flakes they deffinatly aren't seeds but the make the smoke taste bad unless you vape it.

So I guess because they are female and have developed seed there's no other explanation other than they somehow were pollinated by one of the males i removed? Is it possible that a hermie as you say 'was a female, then developed pollen sacs" could have happened under my nose and pollinated the rest?
