can it hermi by letting light in the dark period? or i guess not letting it get complely dark. you can still see after your eyes get use to it.

Yes light during the dark period can cause hermie's. Try to get your grow area as dark as possible during the dark period.

I don't understand how it could cause hermies. I guess it depends on the amount of light getting in. You should be fine as long as it is under the amount you find moon light in nature
