Here's my new PH/TDS meter.

Just picked this up yesterday. I got tired of using the PH indicator drops.
I would have to say it's probably the best investment I've made with everything I've bought so far for my grow rooms.

I got it for $175 and the shop threw in 2 bottles of PH and TDS calibration solution.
The calibrating solution runs about $10 per bottle.

I know I could of saved maybe 10 or 15 dollars if I bought it online. But I wouldn't of gotten the calibrating solution for free.
When it comes to stuff like this, I feel more comfortable buying it at a shop. If anything is wrong with it, they'll just swap it for a new one and they'll handle the warranty crap.

Got the same one. Like it a lot. I have 6 reservoirs going right now so this waterproof tester is portable and easy to calibrate. Just drop it into the res and check the readings.

The continuous read would be good if I had only 1 or 2 reservoirs going.
The one thing I don't like about the combo is having to change the mode. The amount of pressure I have to apply to switch between pH and ppm mode about bruises my thumb. It's getting easier with more use.

I paid $119.95 with free shipping online for mine.

Totally agree though that you can't grow effectively without a meter.

I got my digi PH pen, it was the best one my local hydro shop had to offer 180$ I hated spending it then but now that I have realized how important it is, it was the best investment i have made. I can keep control of my PH with ease and my pen is very accurate.

Hanna Continuous pH/TDS/EC/Temp

got it & shipped for $120

Hey LB.... how are you liking the Combo GroChek? How long have you had it? I bought one and only had it for a month before the PPM probe malfunctioned. The one in your picture looks like a newer model then the one I had as the PPM probe in your picture looks like they added a better sheath to prevent water getting in the top (which is what happened to mine). Even though I didn't submerge it... mist produced from the airstones seems to have got in the top and I had a yellow substance coming out the top. Cleaning and re-calibrating didn't work either.... it would just read 0. I returned mine and traded up to this one

It was more money.... but I like being able to read all the settings without having to toggle the mode button.

Here's a picture of my old one and the problem ... not the best picture but you can see the corrosion issue and you can see mine didn't have that extra sheath. Looks like they fixed the issue with the model you bought.

I called Hanna directly when my meter went out (because the people at the store I bought it from didn't know shit). Anyhow... the support guy told me that only the lower probe portion is to be submerged... not the whole thing.

You are right... it is under warranty.... it's a bitch though because you have to send it in for repair and wait .... so what do you do in the meantime??? I guess only a really big problem if you are doing hydro (which I am).

Mine was still withing the 30 days from the vendor.... so I just upgraded and got them to overnight me the other model.
