I've seen many operations in my lifetime but just recently got my 215 and decided to give this a try. I have done some research but also wanted to know what everyone else thinks.

Im just starting and know my questions may seem dumb in the future. I am commited and hope to do all I can to see my plants thrive. I currently keep saltwater tanks with many different corals so I know chemistry plays a big role with growth. I do however wish to keep it as simple as I can. I know what works for someone may not work for another too.

My friend gave me 6 clones and 7 bags of roots organic 707 mix. (One bag for top off). Six plants total; v purp, rascal kush, super silver haze, original og, and 2 sour grape. The plants were clones and averaged 1.5 feet. I have planted each plant in each bag and watered so far. The reason im here is because so far he has not gave me any other tips. Im sure he will when the time comes or I have questions but I don't want to wait and call him until something goes wrong. He is experienced and knows what he's doing (have seen plenty of proof). But he shoot down every question I had yesterday and made me feel like all I need is water?? Im sure there is other stuff I can use without making it too technical. So my question is: what additives do you recommend for my set up?

Thanks

Quality soil has food and nutes in it. There is probably plenty of food and in the soil hence why all they need now is water. Seems like the guy know how his strains grow. I would listen to him. How long have they been in that soil?

RDWHABH.

Yeah, then they probably just need water for 2-3 weeks.

I know how you feel though. The urge to "Do Something" is very strong. Hell I run RDWC so I don't even get to water mine. Just check the ph and stare at them. Kinda boring really. Brewing beer helps me deal with it.

I know what you mean now. They are purty to look at.
So to keep it simple, do you suggest that maybe I use some fertilizer to help the stems and leaves grow after 2-3 weeks? Then after they begin to bud use some stuff to help them blossom? What type do you suggest for my set up?

Thanks in advance

My wife just uses FoxFarm Grow Big on the mothers she tends to in soil. I think she waters them every other day and feeds them every other watering.

If we were to flower those, I would have her switch to FF's Big Bloom when we switched the light.

I grew in soil 15 years or so ago and at that time I just used Alaska's Fish Fert in Veg and Alaska's MorBloom in flower and had great results. Less is best. It's easier to feed them then flush them.
