Hempy Bucket - Should I flush the last two weeks of flowering?

I've read you're supposed to flush out with pure water the last two weeks of flowering, to get all the nutes out so you won't taste them in your buds.

Is that only for soil grows? I mean, for hydro systems, wouldn't that be like starving your plants for two weeks?

Should a hempy bucket grow be flushed for the last two weeks of flowering?
