Couldn’t figure out how to post but this is what I got going on. Tap water coming out at 174 ppm and feeding 200ish of cal mag and a grow fert . I’m thinking of throwing in the towel and popping new beans in soil .( never grown in coco) . Anyone have any advice I’d appreciate it .

Yea man just a cheap hydrofarm 315 cmh . It’s about 36” from the tops of the bigger one . I grew ok plants in soil under this light . I would move it closer but I have smaller seedlings in there .
I really don’t want give up cuz I wanted to try something new but I’m about to. My grandmother has been helping me with watering when I’m not around and it’s all going to benefit her . She has bad joint pain and sleep issues . I really should just plant new beans in soil seeing as I have them but I just hate quitting . I appreciate your words of encouragement man. Thanks

3ft is good height for now & just tell granny not to overwater cuz plants hate wet feet.
How old is plant:confused: if over 1 month then throw it out & plant new seeds cuz in 1 month with 18hrs/day should be 1 foot tall plants.

Invest in an RO filtering device if you’re gonna be doing any kind of Hydro. It’s reeeeeally easy when you can start at ZER0.

Temps are steady 79 btw . Im in cold winter temps one week - degrees another week 40s . so 24/0 veg btw.
IMO seedlings especially benefit greatly from an 18/6 light schedule. They’re gonna sleep regardless, so might as well turn of the lights anyways, right?
ALSO, CMH probably isn’t the beeest light for seedlings. I’d try the $10 LED t5/t8 tubes that fit into any normal fixture for the first week or two.

Gota geta heata

They like a little sleep:eyesmoke:

I wouldnt chuck it but starting some new seeds might be a good option in case you run into more troubles

Any idea why they getting burnt . Why do people say subtract your ppm from tap from what you are adding you think 174 ppm from tap has enough stuff in it to make em grow a little? I have some silica blast on the way and I was just gonna feed them that till more leaf sets

did you rinse your coco really well before you used it?

are you watering so that you get some run off?

if you have access to RO or distilled water, that could help too.
