ok im freekin out cuz so far my first grow has gon pretty much flawless and then yesterday i go check it out and see a bunch of little webs and black dots all under my leaves. yep the spider mites got me. now im about 7 weeks into flower, i have this GOnats stuff but im just worried about spraying this close to harvest. anyone please help me out. should i spray or just let them go? will the mites get into the buds r just stay on the leaves? HHHHEEEEELLLLLPPPPP!!!

I have this same issue but i have other plants involved I have 2 that are near harvest a few a few weeks behind and then a few just gone into flower as well as how many ever i have in veg with all the other plants i had to spray them all including the one close to harvest. The guy at the hydro shop told me to spray the plants without developed buds very well and the ones with developed buds very carefully by just spraying the leaves and undersides as well as the soil for any that fall before dieing. If this is your only plant i would suggest just letting it go from what i understand they will not be in finished buds just leaves and stalks.

Free bump so maybe an expert can comment. I am under the impression you should wipe the plant down with some mild dish soap at this stage.

Your not going to do much against them at this late stage, try and stay away from spraying them you can use a biological killer like ladybugs or whatever but your not going to tackle the problem in the short space of time you have left.

Once you finish this grow, you have to properly disinfect everything, make sure the fuckers dont come back for next harvest.

Preventive is better than cure with spider mites, they are little bastards.

That is correct, lady bugs won't help at this stage. Get yourself a spray bottle, cover the bottom with dish soap, 3/4 water and 1/4 vinegar. Shake it up and spray all over your plants. Make sure you get under the leaves as that is where they hide. Get the plants all soapy drippy looking and leave on for a day. The next day you will see all tiny black dots, these are dead now. Spray off your plant with a hose to get rid of em for good. I prefer the vinegar to alchol to avoid burning the plants. This works on spider mites and aphids. Good luck. :peace:
