Help with window ventilation - dampers

I'm trying to set up my grow room and have some questions. Currently have a 10" max can fan with 10" phresh filter for the active exhaust and a 12 x 24 louver for the passive intake. Do I need dampers at both the intake and exhaust? What kind of dampers do i use; for example, automated dampers normally closed, automated dampers normally open, or just standard dampers? Another question i have is do i need to use ducting on the exhaust or can i just have the exhaust fan attached to the window and the filter with no ducting in between? I'm in need advice asap so please if you're viewing this thread help me out!! thanks

get a springloaded damper and install on exhaust near where it leaves the room. this will stop outside air and pests from getting in. you would be better using ducting. mount the fan using bungee coards to neutralize vibration noise.

Do this: Filter--Fan--Short amount of ducting--Damper.

You dont need any at the intake. Home Depot sells spring loaded metal dampers; at ten inches, im guessing theyre gonna be around 20-25 dollars a piece. They also have plastic ones with nothing more than plastic shutter flaps; Again, at ten inches, im guessing around 7 dollars.

Some prefer the better spring loaded dampers, but ive used the latter for months (rain, wind, snow, heat), no problems.
