The nutrients you're using are a great start for the hydro setup, though you might want to go to their website since they already have a nutrient calculator which can direct you as to use.

http://www.advancednutrients.com/nutcalc3public//

But I would tweak this calculator a bit when you're using the nutes at first. You need to make sure that you're doing maybe 25% less on the feedings. This will help to protect you from nute burn, while also giving your plants what they need.

There's also an awesome link on growing hydro here:

http://www.hydroponicmedicalgrower.com

though it is mainly for medical growers.

The veg state can last anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks, then you need to switch to more dark than light to induce flowering which can then take between 8 to 12 weeks. You can shorten things too, but that's for expert growers and not something I would recommend to you if you're not comfortable with the growing situation.

You might want to check out some MJ books on growing too:

"Marijuana Horticulture"
"Hydroponics"

This should get you off to a good start - good luck!

it tells you on the nutrient bottle how much to use

This is bad advice do not follow!!!!!:!:

You need to start weak with nutes to begin with as stated in the first response as with hydro you are constantly feeding rather than water water feed,
If you start with the recommended dosage on the bottles then you will for sure end up with nute burn, nute lock out or death.

Start weak and build up.

Look at how your plants are reacting to the strength you give them any yellowing tips or browning edges then you are feeding them too strong and need to run pure water through through them until they are ok again.

Hope this has helped some.

your right on that. but I've never had any problems with following the directions for the nutes. I use it as directed and my plants are fine... if i was to start noticing a problem thats when i would lower the amount of nutes i put in

ok thts great info guys, but through thr veg. stage what am i lookin for to tell me when it is time to switch over to the flowering? is there any signs i should be looking for??

You can start flowering them whenever you want. when they get as tall as you want them switch the lights over to 12/12 and they will start flowering.

what you gotta look for is the seed sacks that may form after they flower. any plant with seed sacks is a either a male or a hermaphrodite.
