So, I'm tidying up the place near my "storage", where my soil is "cooking" for 5 days now and and smell ammonia.
I go check. The "flowering soil" bag is fine, no smell but the Veg bag is hardcore ammonia smelly shit!!! What's going on? how do I fix this?
You will probably not recognize any of the brands.

I used the
Whole bag of potting soil you see in the pic (30dm3 which is +/- equivalent to 27 L = 7 gallons),
Vermiculite - 2 L
Dolomitic Lime - 14 tbsp
"Rose Food" (High N fertilizer) - 1.5 L ( It was the only one I found, but click on the pic and see for yourself. )
5 L Perlite still to be added.

Ignore the Phosphate. that's on the flowering mix which I used 2 L, and no problem so far.

So, it must be the "Rose Food" Right??

What can I do to solve this??

The ammonia smell is nitrogen being release into the air. It sounds like you're composting. Mixing a high nitrogen source (fert ) to a carbon source (wood chips, peat, coco) in a moist condition can cause bateria to reproduce rapidly. The bateria generate heat and the heat can vaporize the moisture carrying the ammonia smell. You can let it cook longer and the smell will go away but sounds like you over fertilized to begin with.

Thanks brokeoldbloke. So, how do I Un-Fertilize it a bit? Do I add wood chips or peat? Or another bag of potting soil?

More soil would work but you need to know the proper dose for you fert to soil ratio. How did you arrive at 1.5l for 7 gals of soil? Seem high to me. Is there fert in the soil already like manure or other source of nitrogen? You could flush, dry , then start over or maybe just mix 1 part hot soil to 4 parts new soil. You need to work it out with whatever works best for you.

Good Luck.
