Help with Roses

hello everyone. I just purchased some continuous roses, and I'm kind of having trouble with them. If anyone has any tips on feeding, or pruning. I would appreciate the info.

I'm not a rosarian but I know enough about the species to help. Most roses are heavy feeders. They like a fertile medium and plenty of water. I also add Epsom salts a couple times a year around the base of the canes and scratch it into the soil.
I use Rose tone. Its an Espoma product. Smells awful but works great. About once a month from April to July then not again till April. I had good success also using Superthrive too. A little goes a long way.
Pruning is important. Dead head spent flowers as they are done. Don't forget roses have two kinds of leaves: Three leaved leaves and five leaved leaves, the three leaved leaves have false buds in their leaf axils. The true buds are in the axils of the five leaved leaves so when pruning cut 1/4" above a five leaved leaf. That will activate the dormant bud in the axil.
If you live in an area with a lot of humidity you'll have diseases like blackspot and powdery mildew so you have to spray for that. Any home store or nursery will have products for those diseases.

That's about it. prune out old and weak canes, damages canes and remove debris from under your rose bushes and you'll get gorgeous flowers during the growing season. Hmu with questions if you want. I'm always here to help.

Thanks buddy. Great read. How much Epsom do use roughly? A cup or just a top dress?
