ive got five plants that are 6 weeks into flowering. there are a lot of fan leaves on a couple of the plants, and it dosent seem like the mid/lower buds are getting very mich light. should i prune some of the fan leaves off to let some more light through or should i just leave them. could someone please help me with this?

i call this bigleafing and i do it every grow as you pick the biggest fan leaves other ones will get bigger to replace them . so take off the big leafs about once a week

IMHO your better off pruning out the lower buds not the leaves. The flowering growth will be redirected to the upper buds, trust me it WILL ! I only prune leaves if they're turning yellow.

dont take the fan leaves off the plant needs them to produce food for the plant(buds) removing the leaves will only make the plant produce small buds dont do it----rather take the lower bud sight off the plant to force its energy to the prominant sights

hope this helped any:wink:
