Hi All...I was wondering what can be mixed with water to provide Nitrogen to growing plants naturally. I currently use Alaska Morbloom 0-10-10 mixed with water for my plants. I was kinda wondering about used coffee grounds or eggshells soaking in water & releasing their nitrogen as I hear they are a good source. Any pointers apprieciated:mrgreen:

used coffee grounds or urine if you can stomach it. Use the coffee grounds to make a tea.

Dfunk Used coffee grounds will provide a weak N (about 1 %) at the rate of one cup full to a gallon of water. Used eggshells provide calcium & trace minerals. I would not put the grounds or the eggshells directly on the surface of the soil. It can encourage bad fungal growth & rodents if you are growing outdoors.

After you make your tea with them, dump them in your compost pile.
