hey guys

my new plant seems to be turing brown ish around the tips of the leafs i think its beause of the tap water but i am clueless thanks

Are you keeping the soil moist?If so you should wait before watering.

yes so i should cut back on watering

yes let it dry out a bit then you can water again.

if your using tap water i would let it sit for about 24hrs, i know my city tap water has high amounts of chlorine chlorine= BAD news..

is that a glass cup your growing out of? if so you have no oxygen really getting to your roots and just flooding them.

Yeah, overwatering is just as bad as underwatering.

And you need to have some sort of drainage in your cup there. If the water sits in the soil too long, it's going to cause all sorts of bad things in the soil - stuff that's going to hinder the growth and the ability of the plant to create strong roots.

some sort of drainage on the bottom would help you avoid the overwatering thing. Just some rocks at the bottom will help to provide space for extra water to flow.
