IV just received my new 1000w dimmable electronic ballast... It says it can power 600,700 and 1000w lamps but how do I dim the light?.. Won't it blow the lamp if I put a 1000w bulb and set the dim to 600w?..im confused its the first ballast I've ever touched and it came with no instructions

You are fine with a 1000 w bulb just don't put a 600 in and set it too 1000w

Thanks I'm not going to dim I just wanted to know... But now I found a problem.. How am I going to plug this cable to my E40 socket? Does anyone know the name of the fitting I need?
Ok, those two don’t go together. The black power cable should have a female socket that runs to the wall. On the other side of the ballast there should be a bare cable that will attach to your E 40 socket.

I would have to go to an electrical specialist to get the fitting so I'll rather just order the cool tube they say has all the cables to be compatible.. Ps in that picture the side u see is the output

I need answers fast as I may not have as much spare time as you do sir.. I post a thread and when I get no replies I try somewhere else.. And what's wrong with different options..

The reflector should have a female connection to fit the one you have. The reflector also has the bulb connection.
Are you missing a reflector or hood?

2.3m x 2.1m you should really run 4x 600w lights to fully light the space.
With 1x 1000w you can light up 1.5x1.5m or 5x5ft. With 2x 1000w you can light up 1.5mx3m or 5x10ft max.

i think you could get away with 3 and still get pretty much full coverage. with one 1k, you get dead spots in each corner.
with two 600s, you get two dead corners, with three, set up right, it should come very close to complete coverage.

OK so what I never said is that is the space from wall to wall, but I do need to remember the dehumifier and fans are going to take their space. So I'm going to see how it goes with a single 1k light for now..and aquire more next season if I feel it's required .. My plan is to shove as many high quality strains in there as possible without taking from the main plants in the scope of the light.. I have this other sweet deal I cannot speak of where I get an abundance of quality seeds for zilch
