help with lighting

i dunno wheather to use 400 hps/400 mh or a 600hps/600mh the area is about 3x3 by 5 tall dunno which light would be better or give me more product roughly how much more or will the 600 watt get to hot fo rarea burn my plants

I use a Philips son agro 430hps.(Google it). its good for veg & flower has 30% more blue spect... I'll throw up some light charts. I use that light in a 22" x 20" x 5ft.. space..just a fan and no venting....

This is the space I have just those are my old lights... its a smaller space than yours..

so how many plants do you have in it and what kinda yield you getting from it

"Those were 2 4ft. kahuna.. I got an oz(dry) per approx but they weren't done right as I started with t's and switched to HID at 4 weeks..
now I started 6 autos and 3 were males, but 6 would have worked well there at approx 15 - 20 " tall....they're supposed to give 28 - 40 g each..we'll see...
