Help with Indoor Grow room

Hi Guys and Gals,

First off, I just want to thank you for taking the time to try and help me. Okay, so I am trying to build veg grow room in a rubbermaid big max storage shed. The shed is 7x7x7 and it is made up of (unfortunately) plastic. I provided a link down near the bottom of this page of the shed. So, my question is, do you think I will be fine using this room? One concern of mine of course is the HEAT in the SUMMER, but I think I can take the plants out of the shed in extreme heat and leave them outdoors in my backyard during that time. i don't have to worry about cold because my property rarely dips below 50 degrees in the winter. So, can you guys think of any other issues I might face? I attached a photo of the shed and I installed 3 fans, 1 dehumidifier, and tonight the carbon filter, inline fan, and exhaust are going in. I have four big holes in the roof of the shed. I can close them or open the holes at anytime. I just DO NOT wanna get Powder Mildew and I want a nice room. Please give me some advice if you have any, thank you

Clones: Original Girl Scout Cookies, Ghost OG X Grateful Breath, OilSpill (XXX OG X Royal OG), Banana Punch,
Seedlings: Jack Herrer, CopperChem from Greenpoint Seeds

Since you already have electric out there for fans and lights, I would put in a small portable air conditioner if you’re worried about heat - looks like you have plenty of room for one of those standing portable ACs :-)

I thought about doing a rubbermaid shed too, but dont need questions from neighbors and family members. With my grow tent inside, I just shut that bedroom door when we have company (though hubby IS saying he’s tired of smelling pot ALL the time *lol*).

hey what's up @Jackriddle21 ? Good luck on your growing my friend. I had a couple things pop into my head while reading your post.

Insulation -
I would insulate the inside of the shed with 1/2 or 3/4 inch foam board. It's going to help keep temperatures consistent inside the shed.

Air Conditioning -
I would add an air conditioner. You'll 100% need to do this for a couple reasons. One, I see you're using a bare bulb fixture which can get hot. Two, you'll need to bring outside air in.

Controllers -
Couple your AC and dehumidifier, and exhaust fan with a temp & humidity controller. Lot's of variables can happen when growing in a plastic shed outdoors - you'll want to keep the environment dialed in.

Table -
This is more my personal preference, but I try to keep the plants off the ground if possible. I'd personally put a flood/drain table on a DIY wood stand with a drain bucket underneath to catch runoff water if you're running drain to waste. I personally just hate vacuuming up runoff water from saucers after watering.

CrazyDago (google him) grows in an outdoor shed in Cali and he's got a pretty legit setup. Perhaps you look into his style and maybe you'll pick up a few helpful hints.

GL!

I have an indoor tent as well with a carbon filter and inline fan. My backyard is acres of avocado forests so no neighbors. I have some outdoor plants, the shed, and the tent. The tent is a square meter for my personal gsc and og. Outdoors and the shed is for the above mention strains along with blue dream and sour diesel. I am going to get a portable a/c when temps get high

I like to grow in multiple environments

Hell ya bro, that is what I am talking about. Thank you for the information. My grow light does run hot, however the inline fan I usually run through the light. About to set that up this weekend. Also, I am totally willing to get an ac and I FOR SURE need that temp and humidity controller. I will google CrazyDago now. Thanks again

PM is everywhere... The spores are present much of the time....
Control of the temps and RH will help prevent.
All PM does is wait for the right conditions to multiply and grow...
Unfiltered air from the outside has already supplied spores to the grow area..

Keep it cool and low RH....say 45%, maybe 40%
If you get a big swing to high RH and hot temps....look out..
