I am going to be runing a 250 watt HPS lamp ,for 18 hours a day ,for 30 days a month. Where i live electricity is 7.24 cents per kilowatt hour, how do i figure out my what my lights are going to cost me?
Help with figuring energy bill.

Seriously, use punctuation. Then run the light at the end of your billing term and extrapolate that data for the month.

well if they are charging 7.24 cents per kilo watt. u are using 250w which is 0.25kw. its easy to work out i,ll explain so you can work out total extra power (fans etc.). if your using 0.25kw per hour that is a quater of 1kw they will charge you a quarter of 7.24 which is 1.81 cents. so it works that your light will cost you 7.24 cents for every 4 hrs it is switched. so if you just add together all of the wattages in your grow room so for instance 250w light, intake/ outtake fan 40w fan x2 ossolating fan 30w that would work out as 360w so that would workout as 0.360kw so you would be able to work out how much it costs per hour 36% of 7.24 which in this case is 2.7 cents per hour hope this helps
