Not sure what country you're in, but if you have a Home Depot, they have decent CFLs. I have tried a few different size CFLs, ranging from 20 watts, to 250 watts. And with CFLs regardless of size, they do not penetrate far. So, I believe that instead of a few big ones putting some light over a small area of the plant, it is better to have more, smaller CFLs spread over the entire plant. My experience, 23 watt to 42 watt will work best. I yielded best with 26 watt. It does take a lot though.
im already using a 62w cfl
I grow in pc case, so its a pretty small place
I was just thinking of adding another light or as a replacement to my current cfl
You feel cool now? Got to use the "Let me google that for you" trick? The search it created didn't come up with shit. This is a forum, designed to help people, not to be a jackass.
I can't speak 4 these~ I have used a simple array of 8- 26w cfl with acceptable results for some time now. I got whole set up at HD -I went 6 veg spektrum and 2 flower - pretty sure 26/27 are most efficient-I used power strip with Y adapters. I personally went this route as I felt for my 2x3 box worked well. Hope it helps
